THE WARPED WORLD
OF GIZLEY
This web site is the official home
of the humor of barry & vig. from
1982-1994, vig and i created many
characters, stories, music, and had
a lot of fun doing it. i don't really
know why it all came about, but i do
know the origins. it all began with a
small book called 'bored of the rings'
by harvard lampoon. being fans of
'the lord of the rings' and the wit of
frank zappa, and also musicians, the next
logical step was to combine them.
we first recorded an
audio play based on the book,
and had so much fun with it, went on to
use our favorite voices in another comedy
project. they became a regular group of
friends who formed a band and appeared in
many stories ahead. the skit comedies we
created were completely ad lib. we just
went off on a tanget and ran with it .

as you surf through my pages, you will come to know the gang and their quirks. there are many catch phrases that appear all over.we have developed very specific personalities for our characters that carry over to each new adventure. our humor is a bit bizarre, maybe not for all audiences, so if anything here offends you, JUST LEAVE. we mix up frank zappaish twisted insights with cheesy rock-n-roll,and lampoon all our favorite people and tv shows with a vengence. nothing is sacred here, so if it exists, we will make fun of it. |

STOMPER-guitar,vocalist,hrrbrrbrrist, leader of the band
DIL-guitar, keyboardist,vocalist,nuisance
FRITO- keyboards, vocalist,always gettin' somebody's front legs
GIM-drums,attitude,fistfights, always be gettin' a pizza
BROMO-bass,butt,assorted sexual diversions
ALSO MAIN DUDES(not in band)
GOODGULF-pizza delivery, getting beat up
TIM BENZADRINE-assorted contraband and intoxicants
VENDETTA-the local wench(need i say more)
THE SONGS
the songs, like the names, were borrowed from our favorite bands, most hated bands, and also we lampooned even our own music. in a weird al sort of way, we took the basic music and formulated our words and phrases to fit the general profile of the original words, even though we warped the song all to hell. but that is the fun of it. |
